FLOWERSCAPE

The goal of the Flowerscape program is to plant colorful gardens in highly traveled locations that will positively impact the North Charleston community. GROUP VOLUNTEER PROJECTS

KNCB staff will help you organize a beautification event for your group in a public garden. This is a great team building project for your group that allows your team to work together to beautify the community through volunteer service.

NORTHWOODS BUTTERFLY GARDEN

The Northwoods Butterfly Garden was installed on Earth Day 2015 by youth in the center’s 4-H program. The garden is located at 8348 Greenridge Road and welcomes you as you enter the Northwoods Park Community Center. In addition to the butterfly garden, the lake-side community center offers a playground, picnic tables, swimming pool, and a gym. PARK CIRCLE BUTTERFLY GARDEN

The Park Circle Butterfly Garden is conveniently located on the grounds of the Felix C. Davis Community Center in the center of Park Circle in North Charleston. This garden is home to many different plant varieties that attract butterflies and pollinators. The garden serves as an educational garden for the community to learn about the types of plants that thrive in the area. Visit the garden on Thursday afternoons and you can also enjoy the North Charleston Farmer’s Market. WEEKLY VOLUNTEER WORKDAYS

KNCB holds weekly volunteer workdays each Wednesday. Volunteers work in the gardens around Park Circle, pack supplies for upcoming programs, and help in the KNCB office. The workday schedule varies depending on the weather and tasks to complete each week. Workday updates will be posted on KNCB’s Facebook page, or you may contact the KNCB office at 843-745-1073 to set up a time to volunteer.
