City Council

Know your City Council member to weigh in on municipal issues that might affect you and your family.  City Council members are also great resources to connect you with your city government.

Education

Find out where your kids are “zoned” to attend school.  North Charleston also offers a wealth of options for post-secondary education and graduate education.

Park and Recreation

North Charleston has been recognized by KaBoom! as a Playful City USA community. The City of North Charleston is dotted with parks, greenspace, and community centers, each with activities for all ages, from youth to seniors.  Our recreation department also offers summer camps and year round programming for our youth.

Sanitation

Our trash and garbage service is picked up curbside once a week with the day depending on where you live in the city.  Recycling is also picked up curbside.  Find out when to put out your waste.
