National Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition

2019/20 Competition & Exhibition

Sculpture artists from across the nation applied to the fourteenth annual National Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition, a component of the 2019 North Charleston Arts Fest. Presented by the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department, this unique, eleven month exhibition offers established and emerging artists the opportunity to display their thought provoking, extraordinary sculptures, as well as compete for up to $19,750 in Exhibition Honorariums and Awards. Twelve sculptures by artists from eight states were selected by the juror, Katelyn Kirnie, Director of Public Art Chattanooga. Once installed at the exhibition site, Kirnie selected pieces to receive awards for Best of Show, Outstanding Merit, and Honorable Mention. Sculpture sites are located throughout the picturesque North Charleston Riverfront Park in North Charleston, SC. The park is set on the banks of the beautiful Cooper River.
