CAR PASSENGER SEAT PROGRAM

NCFD has certified car seat technicians who can provide safety information and assist in installing car seats.   These personnel have been certified by Safe Kids Worldwide.  Click here to learn more about our Car Passenger Seat Program.

NCFD Bitmoji Classroom

Explore the world of fire safety via our Bitmoji Classroom on Google Slides.  Each slide is designed for certain grade levels. Once completed, email Fire and Life Safety Educator Laura Kondor for a Fire Safe Certificate.

YOUTH FIRESETTER INTERVENTION PROGRAM

NCFD offers one-on-one educational classes that targets at-risk youth who have expressed an interest in fire and/or have been involved in firesetting activities. The class is free of charge.  Rather than a punitive approach, areas of focus within this program include: Responsibility, Character Building, Decision Making, Self Esteem, and Fire Safety. Click here to learn more about our Youth Firesetter Intervention Program.

NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION MEETINGS

Our Fire and Life Safety Educator is available to attend your neighborhood association meeting to discuss our programs or a specific topic of interesting.  To request more information, contact Laura Kondor at 843-740-2647 or LKondor@northcharleston.org.

Fire Safe Community

On July 2020, North Charleston Fire Department was designated, with 56 other South Carolina fire departments, as a “Fire Safe Community.”  Fire Safe Communities actively engage their stakeholders and citizens by promoting Fire Safe SC‘s “Core Four” Safety Message:

These core messages unify and promote consistent messaging for South Carolina fire service’s community risk reduction efforts to reduce fire-related injuries.  NCFD has partnered with NCFD since it’s creation in 2017.
