North Charleston baseball team advances to World Series

The Wescott/Pepperhill 11-12 year old All-Star baseball team will be representing North Charleston and the state of South Carolina at the 2017 Dixie Youth Majors World Series in Alabama in August. The team finished as the District 7 State Champions after posting a 5-1 record in the Dixie Youth AAA State Tournament.

State Tournament
North Charleston beats Mullins, 10-5 with home runs by Zolten Osborne and Nick Cappello
North Charleston beats Aynor, 8-3 with home runs by Nick Cappello and Joseph Schenk
North Charleston beats Greg Park, 10-6 with home runs by Jonathan Tsang and PJ Morlando
Aynor defeats North Charleston, 4-2
North Charleston beats Aynor, 9-3 with two home runs by Jackson Brown

State Championship
North Charleston beats Mullins, 4-2 with home runs by Jackson Brown and Jackson Harvill

The team will play in Oxford, Alabama on Saturday, August 5 at 8:00pm against Florida.

The players on the team are: Joseph Schenk, Nick Cappello, Zolten Osborne, Michael Wynne, Jackson Harvill, Jackson Brown, Tre’ Ryan, Donovan Johnson, Drew Hayes, PJ Morlando, Keith Grace, and Jonathan Tsang. Coaches: Merle Johnson, Steve Harvill, and John Hayes.
