There was no record left standing after Dana Brown entered the pool at the Dixie Zone Long Course Meet Championships meet in Greenville, SC. Dana unleashed a breathtaking performance, shattering record after record.
On July 24-26, the Danny Jones Masters Swimmers traveled to Greenville to compete among competitors from around the state. However, when it came to Dana Brown’s swimming, there was no competition. She would end up breaking all 17 Long Course state records in her 65-69 age group. This feat has never been achieved before at any age or level.
To further add merit to her stand-out performance, three of Dana’s swims were Dixie Zone records and a number of races ranked in the United States’ top-20 all-time for her age group.
Dana was not the only record breaker on the team. As a group, the Danny Jones Masters Swimmers broke 29 state records.
There is no question that the Danny Jones facility has immensely elevated aquatics in North Charleston to a new height. Danny Jones is open to all ages and all level of swimmers, offering open family swims, water aerobics, leisure lap swimming and other great water activities.
