The good news, two rail crossings in North Charleston will be repaired to make passage smoother. The bad news, both crossings will be repaired during the same week.
On Ladson Road at Stoney and Koester Roads, Norfolk Southern will close one lane of traffic in each direction from Monday, August 3 to Thursday, August 7 and will close ALL lanes of traffic on Saturday, August 8.
CSX will be performing repairs to the rail crossing on Dorchester Road, in between Kent Avenue and Meeting Street Road. This crossing will be CLOSED from Monday, August 3 to Thursday, August 6.
Traffic will be rerouted near each crossing with appropriate signage marking the detour.
