Our city is a safer place thanks to the dedication and bravery of individuals like Police Officer Jared Martin. During January 2024, Officer Martin went above and beyond the call of duty by maintaining a high presence in an area of Ashley Phosphate Road that was plagued with dangerous criminal activity. Officer Martin’s proactive approach resulted in three arrests for gun crimes, the seizure of three illegally possessed firearms, and a quantity of illegal drugs. His outstanding work for just seven days led to a significant reduction in crime in that area, making our city a better place to live and work.
