Officers honored for fake ID arrests

Please join our agency in congratulating our Employees of the Month for November, Sgt. Chelsea Cisco and Ptl. Sam Sanders.
Sgt. Cisco and Ptl. Sanders responded to Best Buy for a call about two individuals inside the store trying to use fake IDs. The incident was reported by a loss prevention officer who said the suspects also used the fraudulent IDs at Best Buy in Summerville.
Sgt. Cisco and Ptl. Sanders quickly apprehended both individuals. They further investigated and located seven separate victims in the Lowcountry whose identities were stolen to open credit cards in their names and had the accounts maxed out. The total amount of money maxed out on the credit cards was thousands.
Sgt. Cisco and Ptl. Sanders followed up at three separate businesses, finishing their investigation with ten charges. The officers worked with Summerville P.D. to pass along information that led to charges in Summerville.
The officers personally finished drawing up warrants and got them signed by a judge to prevent the suspects from fleeing to their home state of Georgia. SLED and DMV are now investigating the suspects as well.
Great job!
