Please join our agency in congratulating Sgt. Ronald Webb, the Employee of the Month for October and Ptl. Ivory Walker, who was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for October.
On October 3 at approximately 5 a.m., Sgt. Webb was conducting a business check at a tobacco and vape shop during the same hours as the recent burglaries. Officer Webb circled the rear of the plaza, and when he came to the front of the shop, he saw a male in front of the business.
When the male saw Sgt. Webb, he turned away, and Sgt. Webb detained the person, who was a juvenile.
While speaking with him, Sgt. Webb heard a loud banging from one of the nearby businesses and called for additional units. A second juvenile was seen running away from the vape store. Officer Walker and other officers found him hiding near the dumpsters.
Further investigation revealed that the same juveniles were allegedly responsible for breaking into the business and prior break-ins at the same vape shop.
