Officers arrest two juveniles in stolen car, seize two firearms

On Wednesday night, NCPD officers arrested two juveniles driving a stolen vehicle after a pursuit. Two firearms were seized.
Around 9:45 p.m., officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle after receiving an alert from an Automatic License Plate Reader. The driver refused to stop, and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle fled onto I-26 Eastbound, exited at Dorchester Road, and then into the Dorchester Waylyn neighborhood.
The vehicle collided into a ditch and fence at a home, where both the driver and passenger ran off.
The driver was caught after a foot chase, and the passenger was caught by K-9 Elf in a ditch next to I-26. A rifle was found in the vehicle. Officers also found a semi-automatic handgun that was modified to a fully automatic.
The driver was charged with Failure to Stop for Blue Lights and Sirens, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person under 18. The passenger was charged with Unlawful Carry of a Handgun, Possession of a Machine Gun, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person under 18.
