November to Be a “Hair Raising” Month for NCPD

You may see something different at NCPD this month.  For the month of November 2018, officers and employees can grow beards to raise funds for men’s health.  It’s part of the department’s “No Shave November” campaign.  Employees who choose to participate will donate $20.00.   At the end of the campaign, all monies raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Chief Reggie Burgess says, “Through this campaign, we can make a difference for men’s health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.”  No-Shave November’s goal is to keep raising money for cancer prevention, education, and research and to let that hair grow in the process!  Together, anything is possible, and we’ll get closer to eradicating cancer one whisker at a time!   Learn more about how you can get involved by visiting https://no-shave.org/ .
