North Charleston Dinner Theatre Series Goes Vintage on February 5

The North Charleston Cultural Arts Department is set to host another dinner theatre performance in North Charleston on Friday, February 5, with Puttin’ on the Ritz presented by Gracie and Lacy. This program will be an exciting display of the popular swing dance and jazz music that was taking over the cities of New York and New Orleans in the 1920s and 30s. Dinner for the evening is catered by Embassy Suites and includes an entrée of chicken saltimbocca with sage, prosciutto, provolone, and parmesan peppercorn alouette cream. Tickets are on sale until Tuesday, February 2.

In Puttin’ on the Ritz powerhouse duo Gracie & Lacy will present a classy performance showcasing the music, glamour, and pizzazz of the Swing Era. The sisters boldly bridge the generations, bringing vintage Hollywood to life in vivid color through harmonies with that Andrews Sisters flair, energetic tap routines, and vintage-inspired costuming. Selections for the evening include Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Sisters, Puttin’ On The Ritz, and more.

Touring sister act Gracie & Lacy are best known for their high energy and crowd pleasing musical theater style entertainment.  The avid vintage enthusiasts and seasoned entertainers combine their love for history with their passion for uplifting, artistic performance by bringing the past to life through song and dance. The duo has been performing together since they were 8 and 10 years old and began touring throughout the country in 1997.

Puttin’ on the Ritz will be presented at the Charleston Area Convention Center Ballroom (adjacent to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center) at 5001 Coliseum Drive in North Charleston. The ballroom doors open at 7:00pm. for dinner. Tickets are $40 per person. Group discounts are offered for parties of four or more. Ticket price includes dinner, play, and gratuity.
