NCPD remembers fallen Officer Robert “Tony” Way

Saturday marks 38 years to the day one of our officers was killed in the line of duty. On February 18, 1985 Officer Robert “Tony” Way was shot and killed by a suspect while responding to an alarm at a nightclub. On Thursday, NCPD Sgt. Eddie Draper met our recruits at the scene of the shooting and gave them a history lesson about how the incident unfolded. Officer Chris Ross who responded to the shooting call also spoke to the recruits. Officer Way’s son Justin who currently works for our agency also came out. We will never forget our fallen officer and the ultimate sacrifice he made.
