NCPD launches Safe Place program for victims of hate crimes

Today NCPD launched our Safe Place program. It’s a partnership between our agency and businesses. The program gives victims of bias or hate crimes a safe place to go after the incident, and the business will give them shelter while they call for help. We want to thank Toni Reale, owner of Roadside Blooms Shop for being the first business to participate in the Safe Place program. We encourage other businesses and schools to join the program. It is absolutely free. You will be sent a Safe Place sticker, training materials and flyers at no cost to you. For more information send an email to [email protected]
