It’s that time of year again and we’re prepping for our annual “It’s Cool To Be In School” Supply Give-Away / Fun Day!
North Charleston Police Department’s focus for this initiative has always been to make sure that students are equipped and prepared for the first day of school, with the essential tools and supplies needed to ensure they are mentally prepared. Since the initial start of our Back-To-School initiative in 2008, statistics have shown the number of students missing the first few weeks of school has reduced tremendously.
We will be giving away bookbags and school supplies for Elementary, Middle, and High school students. We will also have a barber(s) onsite again to provide haircuts. This year, we have also added uniforms…so we’re definitely excited!
The fun day will consist of free food and drinks, a jump castle, crafts, face painting, games, ice cream trucks, a DJ and so much more!!
