Please join NCPD in congratulating our two “Officers of the Month“ for September, MPO Patrick Norwood and PFC Caleb Shropshier. Officer Norwood also received the “Lifesaving Award.” During an incident, Officer Norwood grabbed a knife from a woman who was threatening to harm herself. In the process, he suffered a laceration that required stitches. PFC Shropshier was selected “Officer of the Month” for ending a standoff with an armed suspect. Officer Shropshier convinced the suspect to drop their weapons and surrender peacefully. He also was honored by the South Carolina Stigrays on First Responders Night. Great job by both officers! #ToServeandProtect
