NCPD’s teams train in all environments to prepare for worst case scenarios we hope will never happen. Our K-9 and Harbor Patrol Units recently conducted joint training on the Cooper River and on Drum Island. The training consisted of vessel operational safety, K-9 acclimation to the maritime environment, water to land tracking and water to land apprehensions. Based on the K-9s’ reactions, the training was very successful.
