Lowcountry’s largest business expo to showcase 175 businesses and organizations

The Lowcountry’s largest business to business event, the North Charleston Business Expo, is set to showcase 175 area companies and organizations on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the Charleston Area Convention Center.  The event remains free of charge for all attendees.  Now in its third year, the annual Business Expo offers the business community, from small business entrepreneurs to executives, an opportunity to network with local professionals, engage with exhibitors, and discover resources for business growth.

In addition to the 175 showcased businesses, procurement departments from nearly twenty government agencies will be assembled for concentrated access to purchasing agents.  Small business owners will have the opportunity to showcase their goods and services to many local, state, and federal government contracting agencies, as well as seek advice from several specialized small business resource agencies.  No other event in the Lowcountry offers such reaching access to these individuals.

A few of the participants include: SPAWAR, US Department of the Interior, US General Services Administration, Charleston County Government, Charleston County School District, Charleston Water System and more.

New to this year’s Business Expo, the Charleston Regional Business Journal will host Mayors Keith Summey, John Tecklenburg, Linda Page, and Wiley Johnson, as part of the 2017 Power Series, for an open panel discussion to kick off the Expo.  This luncheon will also include keynote speaker Anita Zucker, Chair of the Tri-County Cradle to Career Collaborative and CEO of The Intertech Group.  Registration is required for luncheon participation, scheduled from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

A networking reception, made possible by Charleston County Economic Development, will immediately follow the Business Expo from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, and offers an additional opportunity to interact with business representatives and entrepreneurs, as well as expo attendees in a relaxed environment.

“The City of North Charleston proudly presents the Business Expo,” said North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey.  “As the commerce powerhouse of the State of South Carolina, the event goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to remain a business-friendly community and a city which fosters an environment ripe for businesses growth.”

The North Charleston Business Expo is only possible due to strong partnerships and dedicated sponsors.  We proudly thank:
