Today four NCPD officers were recognized for their heroism.
The Knights of Columbus honored Pfc. Joseph Magrane as their officer of the year for 2020. Officer Magrane while off-duty detained an armed murder suspect.
Pfc. Justin Garrison and K-9 Buster were honored by The Knights of Columbus as officers of the year for 2021. Officer Garrison and Buster got more than $15 million worth of illegal narcotics off the streets last year.
Pfc. Adrian Besancon was given a Black History Month Spotlight Award for rescuing a woman from a burning car in 2021.
