NCPD had a very special visitor this week. Tio Hardiman, founder of Violence Interrupters held training sessions for some of our officers and local non-profit community organizations. The program is designed to mediate conflict to prevent violence. Hardiman says he came up with the idea for Violence Interrupters after using mediation to prevent his own death by gun violence in Chicago.
