North Charleston Fire Department Engineer Christopher Crankshaw’s outstanding work and dedication to the fire service earned him Employee of the Month for the Fire Department.
Engineer Crankshaw has always shown an interest in extra responsibilities to benefit the department. A specific instance occured while he was off duty. Engineer Crankshaw used his own equipment and time to pressure wash Fire Station 3, and went a step further, addressing rust he found in the building’s gutters.
When he was stationed at Fire Station 2, he helped with fire equipment and fire hoses. Properly maintained and functioning equipment is key to the fire service. Since being promoted to Engineer, he has remained a vital part of the process and has taken a lead role in the record keeping.
Engineer Crankshaw puts in a lot of time which goes unseen, never asking for special recogintion. However, for these reasons and more, Engineer Crankshaw has earned Employee of the Month for the North Charleston Fire Department.
