Brandon Emery named NCFD employee of the month

To become Employee of the Month in the North Charleston Fire Department, one must be nominated by a superior for exemplary work, selfless actions that directly benefit a resident’s life or the safekeeping of a business, or undertaking additional self-motivated activities to aid in the improvement of the fire department.

The following is Captain Fletcher and Engineer Murphy’s nomination submission for Assistant Firefighter Brandon Emery:

Firefighter Emery may be new to our department, but he has demonstrated ownership in every task he has been assigned.  His dedication was shown recently when the Department needed to quickly install new data terminals.  Firefighter Emery understood the need to do this quickly to maintain continuity of operations.

He was uniquely qualified for this task, relying on his extensive knowledge of fire apparatus mechanics and electronics.  Firefighter Emery worked diligently with Chief Trey Coker for several shifts of his off-duty days to install the terminals in every apparatus.

Due to his efforts the Mobile Data Terminal capability was restored very quickly.  While still becoming adjusted to a new City and a new department, Firefighter Emery made time to step up and provide a vital contribution.

For going above and beyond to support the Department, we recommend Firefighter Brandon Emery for Employee of the Month.
