Late last night and early this morning, NCPD patrol officers took 12 unlawfully possessed guns off the streets and made eight arrests in three separate incidents. In one of those incidents, officers responded to North Haven Drive just before four a.m. for breaking into auto call. Officers canvassed the area and saw someone busting a window to a car. Officers chased the suspect but lost sight of the suspect. As several officers responded to the area, several gunshots were heard. Officers saw a vehicle stop in the 3400 block of Ashley Phosphate Road where four subjects took off running. All four were caught with help from Dorchester County deputies. Officers arrest one adult and three juveniles. Six loaded handguns were found in the vehicle and two additional guns were found in a backpack. Great job team!
