To reinstate a driver’s license suspended for failure to pay a summons issued to you by the North Charleston Police Department you must pay the original fine to the Municipal Court via cash, money order, cashier check, or credit cards. NO personal checks are accepted.
Upon payment of the fine in full, the Municipal Court will provide you a copy of Blue Form DL-53 to submit the Office of Driver Records for the reinstatement of driving priviledges.
South Carolina Drivers
Upon receipt of the Blue Form DL-53 from the Court, it is your responsibility to present in person at any branch of the SC Department of Motor Vehicles Division or by mail to the Office of Driver Records, the blue copy of Form accompanied by a $100.00 reinstatement fee per violation.
