Park Circle Butterfly Garden

The Park Circle Butterfly Garden is located next to the Felix C. Davis Community Center in the middle of historic Park Circle.  From the moment you enter the garden and walk across the beautifully painted paver stones you can see that this place is special.  It is a hidden gem in the middle of the city that invites guests to enjoy a picnic lunch or just sit and enjoy nature.

The peak time of year to visit the garden to see the most butterflies is the spring and fall.  Although the butterflies are the focus of the garden the plants are a close second.  Many of these plants are labeled with identification tags so visitors can determine the plants they may like to plant in their own gardens.

Beginning mid-April and going until mid-October from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm each Thursday visitors can enjoy the Farmers Market following their stroll through the butterfly garden.

This garden is part of Keep North Charleston Beautiful’s Flowerscape Program and is maintained monthly by the SC Stingrays in conjunction with Keep North Charleston Beautiful, the City of North Charleston’s Public Works Department and the Recreation Department.
