Electronics Recycling

KNCB is dedicated to beautifying the North Charleston community. Accordingly, we have joined
Funding Factory in a 'green' initiative to help keep electronics and supplies out of our local landfill while raising funds for our organization. These funds will be used to educate youth on the importance of environmental stewardship, to plant flowers and trees, and to clean litter from our community.

We need your help to make this program a success. There is a minimum time requirement and no monetary fee to participate.

The Funding Factory electronics recycling program is for small electronics (printer cartridges, laser cartridges, iPods, digital cameras, laptops, etc.).  You collect old and used items for recycling (you can set up a public drop-off box or just collect them internally), download a prepaid shipping label, box them up, and send them to Funding Factory periodically.  They have a list of acceptable items on their website, but they will also sort through them for you and dispose of anything not accepted.

If you would like to register as a KNCB supporter, visit this website and enter our nonprofit ID (272689) in the yellow box.

Shortly after you register, a welcome kit will be sent in the mail with prepaid mailing labels and everything you need to get the program started. You will also have an online account to run the program from.

More information about the program can be found here.
