About the Competition & Exhibition

The National Outdoor Sculpture Competition & Exhibition, now in its 5th year, features up to 15 sculptures by established and emerging artists from across the nation.  The 11 month exhibition offers sculptors the opportunity to display their imaginative and thought provoking large-scale sculpture throughout the picturesque North Charleston Riverfront Park, as well as compete for honorariums and awards. Organized and presented by the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department, the exhibition is a component of the North Charleston Arts Festival

The exhibition will be on display at North Charleston Riverfront Park (1001 Everglades Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405) from May 2010 – March 2011. The park is open daily and admission and parking are free. Visitors can enjoy the sculpture displays among ten acres of walking paths, a fishing pier, boardwalks, a fountain, an oversized sandbox and children’s play area.
