The Purchasing Department is responsible for ordering all material, supplies, and services used by the City of North Charleston.

The Purchasing Department oversees all City purchases. When the cost of a purchase is expected to exceed $25,000.00, bid packages are prepared and distributed to all vendors on our vendor list.  If not already on our vendor list, you may fill out an application.

The City utilizes Gov Deals, Inc., an online auction service, to auction all excess items including City vehicles, vehicles and personnel property seized through drug enforcement efforts, and excess City property.  To see a listing of items that may be up for auction visit govdeals.com, there is no fee to register or bid.
