160th SOAR (A) Conducts Training near North Charleston

9/17/2014: The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment will be training in North Charleston tomorrow and Thursday. Their training missions will occur at night and may involve several low flying black helicopters.

O'Hear and Spruill bridge replacements

9/17/2014: The bridges over Noisette Creek on O'Hear and Spruill Avenue will be replaced by SCDOT with work continuing until January 2016. Detours will be in place.

8/12/2014: Sandy O'Keefe, who trains at Danny Jones pool, wins the 2014 Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series, beating competition by over 4 minutes.

Rivers Ave repaving begins on August 10

8/8/2014: Road work on the Rivers Avenue will begin on August 10, 2014 at the intersection of Remount Road and stopping at the intersection of Ashley Phosphate. The work consists of roadway milling and paving with traffic being reduced to one lane in both directions. Work will take place between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am.
