African American Fiber Artists Sought for Special Exhibition in North Charleston

11/7/2016: African American fiber artists from across the US are invited to apply for a special exhibition opportunity presented as a component of the 2017 North Charleston Arts Fest. The 11th Annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition, titled Move On Up and Reach the Higher Ground will be on display at North Charleston City Hall from may 1-June 23, 2017. The application is available online at www.NorthCharlestonCulturalArtsDepartment.SlideRoom.com. Deadline for entries is Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

North Charleston presents Dinner Theatre with vintage holiday flair on December 2

SC Law Enforcement Agencies Pack Cruisers to Aid Hurricane Victims

10/18/2016: NCPD will park its pink cruiser “Hope” outside of North Charleston City Hall from Tuesday morning, October 18th until Thursday, October 20th at 5pm for citizens, businesses and anyone else to stop by and pack the cruiser with the below supplies.

North Charleston to Host Free Concert by USAF Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble

Hurricane Matthew damage assessments ongoing, but citizen help still needed

10/8/2016: North Charleston officials and inspectors have begun damage assessments, but citizen participation is still needed. With over 42,000 housing units in North Charleston, it is very difficult for inspectors to be aware of all damage from Hurricane Matthew.
