North Charleston City Gallery to Exhibit Works by Women of Expressive Abstracts Group

7/19/2018: "Inside Out: Expressing Our Inner Voices," a group exhibition by the Women of Expressive Abstracts will be on display at the North Charleston City Gallery from August 2-31, 2018. The public is invited to attend a free public reception at the gallery on Thursday, August 2, from 5:00-7:00pm.

North Charleston presents Summer Children’s Theatre performances on July 13

7/2/2018: The North Charleston Cultural Arts Department will offer a Summer Children’s Theatre series performance on Friday, July 13, 2018, featuring Music of the Caribbean performed by Pantasia Steel Band. The program is for all ages and features two showings at two different locations - 10:00am showing at Northwoods Park and Recreation Center at 8348 Greenridge Road and 2:00pm at Danny Jones Recreation Center at 1455 Monitor Street in North Charleston. Tickets are $2 per child with accompanying adults admitted at no charge. Parking is free.

6/27/2018: Watercolor portraits by Rachel Jones of Conway, SC, and icescape photographs by Thomas Pickarski of NYC will be on exhibit at the North Charleston City Gallery throughout the month of July. Admission to view the concurrent solo exhibitions is free.

North Charleston Summer Children's Theatre Performance Motivates Through Humor and Hip-Hop

6/12/2018: The Cultural Arts Department is pleased to offer the first of two Summer Children’s Theatre presentations on Friday, June 29, 2018, featuring R.A.P. – Realize Anything’s Possible performed by Cutright and Ike Hill. The motivational music program is for all ages and features two showings at two different locations in North Charleston. Tickets are $2 per child with accompanying adults admitted at no charge.

Local visual artists with a willingness to share their talents and an ability to work with students of all ages are invited to apply for the part-time, contracted position by Friday, June 29, 2018.

Performances, activities, and exhibits are scheduled to take place in a variety of venues throughout the city of North Charleston, including libraries, community centers, businesses, and parks.
