Garbage Collection
GARBAGE REMOVAL
Garbage removal is provided on a weekly basis according to the outline below. Household garbage must be placed in the roll cart containers provided by the City. Additional garbage contained in non-standard containers will be picked up from time to time; however, if a resident routinely generates more garbage than can be held in the provided container they will be required to purchase the use of an additional container for regular collection. Containers should be placed at street side before 7:00 am on collection day. They are not to be placed more than 12-hours prior to that time and must be removed within 12 hours of pick-up.
Please remember that lawn clippings and leaves, bagged in clear plastic bags, are collected on the same day that household garbage is collected.

Monday:
- Both sides of Liberty Hill, Ferndale, Coliseum area, Dorchester Rd. from Montague Ave. south, Wando Woods, Brentwood, Green Grove, Jenkins Terrace, Dorchester Waylyn, Dorchester Terrace, Accabee. Rivers Ave. south of Montague to the City limits, including Whipper Barony, Iron Dog, Horizon Village, Nafair, Chicora-Cherokee, Winslow, and Union Heights.
Tuesday:
- Areas of Olde North Charelston, North Chas. High School area, Palmetto Gardens, areas around Quarterman's Lake, Cameron Terrace, Oak Terrace Preserve, Charleston Farms, Rivers Ave. north of Mark Clark including Russeldale, to Ashley Phosphate Rd. All of Midland Park Rd. and Stall Rd. Ashley Heights, Colony North, Oak Leaf Estates.
Wednesday:
- Northwoods, Deer Park, Coosaw Creek, The Elms, Paddock Pointe, Pepperhill, Wescott, Villas at Charleston Park, Indigo Palms.
Thursday:
- Dorchester Rd. north of Montague, including Glynn Terrace, Evanston Estates, Covington Hills, Forest Hills 1 & 2, The Park at Rivers Edge, Indigo Fields, Marshside, Taylor Plantation, Summers Bend, Cedar Grove, Whitehall, and Saddlebrook.
