When can I enroll in the Flex Plan?
You enroll in December for the next Flex Plan year.

When can I add Dependent Dental?
Enroll in June for benefits to start July 1.

How long do I have to add Spouse or Baby?
You have thirty (30) days from the time of action (Marriage or Birth)

What do I need to bring to enroll spouse or baby?
Marriage License and Spouse Information (SSN) and birth date of baby and provide SSN when received.

When can I drop spouse?
You have to have legal documentation i.e. (divorce decree)

Can I stop my direct deposit?
No, but you can change banks at any time.

Can I have my payroll check direct deposited into my checking account with $50 going to my savings account?
Only if you use Heritage Trust for the Savings account. That is considered a payroll deduction and Heritage Trust is the only bank we can use for that.

Can I borrow money from my Retirement?
No. The SC Retirement System does not allow you to borrow money from your retirement account, SCRS for civilians or PORS for Police Officers/Firefighters.

Check status of Job Application?
The Personnel Department can only tell you if we still have your application on file or if it has been sent to the department you applied to.

How long is my application kept on file?
Your application is kept on file for two (2) years.
