Programs & Athletics

The department sponsors a variety of arts & crafts, physical fitness, sports and special events for all ages.

For youth, we offer leagues in football, soccer, basketball, and baseball/softball, as well as cheerleading. Our youth athletic program serves some 5,000 youths annually. Boys and girls ages 4-17 years old may participate.

The department also offers various afterschool programs ad camps, as well as special events for pre-schoolers.

For adults we sponsor Fall, Spring, and Summer Softball leagues for church men and women as well as Co-Ed, Fall Volleyball Winter Soccer and Winter Basketball. 

Middle School Athletic Programs

The City of North Charleston and the Charleston County School District jointly operate a Middle School Athletic Program to accommodate Middle School athletes in five District 4 Middle Schools. Programs offered include Track and Field, Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Cheerleading, Step Team and Basketball. Track and Field, Step Team, Soccer and Basketball are offered to both boys and girls. Schools currently participating in the Middle School Program are Alice Birney Middle, Military Magnet, Morningside Middle, Brentwood Middle and Charlestowne Academy.
