The North Charleston Coliseum hosts a variety of events, including concerts, circuses, sporting extravaganzas, consumer shows, arts & crafts exhibits, and ice and hockey shows.
SC Stingrays Hockey
The SC Stingrays (ECHL) home games are played at the Coliseum, and they continue to give audiences exciting action at the games. The Stingrays have welcomed over two million fans during the past ten years. Through their first ten seasons, the team has averaged over 240,000 fans per season. In terms of attendance, the Stingrays have consistently ranked among the top 15 in North America for all minor league hockey teams and in the top 5 in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) with a 2003-04 per-game average of over 5,700 fans. There have been 22 sellouts during the team's brief history.
Carolina Ice Palace
South Carolina's Ultimate Family Entertainment Complex, the Carolina Ice Palace was designed to be a year-round family playground for recreational skating, league hockey, figure skating, extreme sports, virtual reality and video games. Inside you will find 100,000 square feet of excitement packed into every inch of the state-of-the-art facility! Two NHL-sized ice rinks ... one with theatrical lights and sound to accent your skating pleasure, and a second with stadium seating for over 700.
Charleston RiverDogs Baseball
The Charleston RiverDogs are a Single A Minor League Baseball Club. We provide fun, affordable entertainment in a gorgeous downtown ballpark April - August. Ticket prices range from $4-8 per ticket. There's no such thing as too much fun! Facility is also available for non-baseball events, including meetings, festivals and large group functions.
Charleston Battery
The Charleston Battery is a U.S. professional men's soccer team that was formed in 1993 as a member of the PDSL, and joined the A-League (now USL First Division), America's second division, in 1997. The team's home, Blackbaud Stadium, built in 1999, was the first professional soccer specific stadium in the USL First Division. The colors of the Battery are yellow black and red. The Battery won the PDSL championship in 1996 and the A-League championship in 2003, defeating the Minnesota Thunder 3-0 to win the A-league title.
