Brownfield Sites

The figure below shows the general area of interest for the City of North Charleston’s Brownfields Program. To suggest a site that will be considered for assessment, fill out the form found on the Comments page. Please note, a site must be located in the City of North Charleston to be considered for assessment. 

The following sites have been assessed using the EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant:

  • Shipwatch Square Shopping Center
  • The Former Chicora Tank Farm Property
  • LAMC – Liberty Hill Property, 1623 Montague Avenue
  • Former Dee’s Service Station, 3223 Spruill Avenue
  • Reynolds Avenue Property, 1901 Reynolds Avenue
  • Park South Tract, Spruill Avenue
  • Duggan Trust Property, Alston Avenue
  • Former City Hall, 4900 Lacross
  • Amtrak Station and CSX Right-of-Way, Gaynor Street
  • Hess Property, 5150 Virginia Avenue
  • SCE&G – Stall Road Property

Harvest Festival and Block Party

October 25 on East Montague from 4pm until after dark, the Harvest Festival and Block Party features live musical performances, art and craft booths, costume contests and children's activities.
