North Charleston Seeking Teaching Artists for Elementary After School Arts Enrichment Program

8/10/2018: Local artists in all disciplines with a willingness to share their talents and an ability to instruct elementary age students are invited to apply for a part-time, contracted teaching artist position in the Cultural Arts Department's after school arts enrichment program. Applications are due by Thursday, August 23, 2018. The program begins September 4.

North Charleston presents Summer Children’s Theatre performances on July 13

7/2/2018: The North Charleston Cultural Arts Department will offer a Summer Children’s Theatre series performance on Friday, July 13, 2018, featuring Music of the Caribbean performed by Pantasia Steel Band. The program is for all ages and features two showings at two different locations - 10:00am showing at Northwoods Park and Recreation Center at 8348 Greenridge Road and 2:00pm at Danny Jones Recreation Center at 1455 Monitor Street in North Charleston. Tickets are $2 per child with accompanying adults admitted at no charge. Parking is free.

13th Annual National Outdoor Sculpture Competition Winners

5/14/2018: Congratulations to the winners of the 2018/19 National Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition. The works will remain on display at North Charleston Riverfront Park through March 2019.
